Catalyst Creation aims to support the hiring ecosystem by providing resources to organizations to help empower the individuals they serve to own their power and make their dreams career realities.
Our mission is to help traditionally underrepresented professionals become more intentional about redefining what success means so they can become leaders in their field and their community. We believe teaching individuals to become change agents in the workplace will exponentially increase the impact on the overall socioeconomic advancement of underrepresented communities.
Catalina Peña (Founder)
Catalina Peña is the founder of Catalyst Creation and lead facilitator for the company. She is a 1.5 generation Afrolatina entrepreneur focusing on helping black and brown communities make their dreams career realities
Being an AfroColombian female who immigrated to the US at 9, Catalina knows first hand the struggles underrepresented individuals face in the workplace. As a former recruiter (at companies like FB, Twitter, Andreessen Horowitz, and Asana) she has also seen thousands of qualified job seekers get rejected from the hiring pipeline in Silicon Valley and is passionate about creating solutions to get individuals from these communities hired and empower them to advance in the corporate space.
Since starting Catalyst Creation company in Nov 2019, she has helped 10,000+ job seekers with her job search tips and has empowered 1000+ workshop participants to create lasting career confidence and generate over 500K in salary raises. She also has traveled to 26 countries (including 2 solo), loves to dance, and is trilingual (Spanish and French!)
